If your animals are not eating and zoo keepers are not feeding them...Your zoo money is gone.

Hmm interesting-- but even when Zoo Money is gone-- you Zoo Keepers work on-- you just have to sell off some animals and start from square one--
A Zoo in this condition is not totally lost and can be recovered if you want to take the time---How do I know the best zoo that I have made so far - was almost a gonner like this.
