Don't you reckon it's interesting how they're releasing a 3D version of Zoo Tycoon about the same time as a 3D version of Rollercoaster Tycoon?
I wonder which will do better?

I've now played both and they're both pretty decent games. I don't think I could say one is better than the other because they both do their job well.

I think they're both great games, but they also both have some problems which bother me quite a bit...
RCT3 came out with quite a few bugs and "bad design" decisions but, fortunately, the developpers are very willing to listen to the fans of the series and make adjustements (not to mention fix the bugs,) so I have great hopes that it will live up to the RCT name and become another hit. I personally think the graphics and animations are awesome!
ZT2, on the other hand, has been way too streamlined in my opinion. I think the game is beautiful, and I love the 1st person view and all, but I *hate* the fact that we can no longer click on an exhibit's gate to view its popularity and the animals it contains. Now the only way to see how many animals we have and find those unhappy ones is to open that "Quick Stats" window (which is very badly named by the way, because it takes *forever* to open!) Plus, that window is a Modal, which means we can't do anything until we close it... Talk about making it laborious to find/access any problematic animals/employees/guests... Hate it. It also bothers me a lot that the exhibits we assigned to Zoo Keepers only show as "Assignment 1", "Assignment 2" both in the employee's individual windows and Quick Stats window. It's so irritating not to be able to view which exhibits a Zoo Keeper has been assigned to at a glance!

I like ZT2 better because I really like animals.But dont get me wrong I would recomond rct3.It is very good and has great
graphic and detail.

I just rename the zoo keeper to the animal exhibit he/she is assigned to. When you move your mouse over the zoo keeper, it says Keeper Elephant so I know he is assigned to the elephant exhibit.

TEXTMy bro got RCT3 for Christmas, and I got ZT2. We both have our own computers, and they're the exact same thing. But the thing is, RCT3 works fine on my brother's computer, but ZT2 won't work on mine! It says I need a special video card or something, and there my brother is, playing away on his game. I don't get it! Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

I think Zoo Tycoon 2 would be way beter than RT3. And you may think i am crazy, but you think watever you want. in a way i dont think rollercoasters are good, they totaly distroy the way the earth should look. Zoo Tycoon 2 on the other hand, has to do with animals, and if tou ask me, all animals are the key to the worlds sukses, and rollerecoasters distroy animals homes. the only animal in the world i think is stuped, are humans. and i know i am isalting myself too.  Zoo Tycoon 2 reflects the animals real aditude, and that is only one of the things i think about in Zoo Tycoon 2  |

They do destroy the world by clearing large areas of habitat to make room for more useless junk which forces poor inocent animals to find a better home  |

Ok... So, I guess, we should tear down all the houses, cities and roads just so animals can have a home. When a company buys land, what do they do? They develop it. So, in this case, amusetment parks use the land for entertainment. Their is nothing wrong with that. |
